Flat-pack furniture fit calculator
Flat-pack products often come in several boxes of different sizes. Enter each package and we check every one — a product only counts as fitting when all its packages do.
Your car
Car not listed or different generation? — it takes about two minutes.
Measure your own car (how to measure). Leave anything you can't measure blank — we'll tell you what's missing rather than guess.
Advanced: tapers and sloping tailgates
If the opening is narrower at the top, or the height is lower near a sloping tailgate, enter the smaller figures here. The conservative check uses the smaller of each pair.

Buying from IKEA? Use the article number
IKEA does not offer a public product-data API we can use, so we don't fetch or guess package sizes. Enter the article number to open the official IKEA product search, then copy the package dimensions from the product page (“Product details → Measurements / Packaging”) into the packages below — one row per package.
Use packaged dimensions, not assembled dimensions
Furniture listings usually show the assembled size first. For transport you need the package dimensions — length, width and height of each box — and the number of packages. On IKEA product pages these are listed under the product’s measurements or packaging details, one entry per package. Other retailers usually show them in the specification or delivery information.
How multi-package results work
- Each package is tested separately in every permitted orientation against the cargo space and the opening.
- The most restrictive package (the worst result, then the largest) drives the headline result.
- If every package fits individually, our packing heuristic tries to place them all together and suggests a loading order (deepest first).
- If the heuristic can’t place everything, the result becomes “Might fit” — you may need two trips or the seats folded.
Long boxes
Wardrobe sides, bed frames and bookcases often come in boxes close to two metres long. These usually need the rear seats folded, and sometimes the front passenger seat moved forward. The seats-folded comparison shows the difference immediately — if your car’s seats-folded length is known.
